This evening is open to anyone with an interest in self healing.

Call 619-543-1470 to sign up for this Free Event.

It will include the Transformation Shift Module Musculoskeletal System 07 (a $30 dollar value).

Morphic Field of Comfortable Sleep, Movement and Function

From the Mayo Fibromyalgia Program comes this information: 98% of the people with fibromyalgia had used some type of Complementary medicine therapy during the previous 6 months. “The 10 most frequently used CAM treatments were exercise for a specific medical problem (48%), spiritual healing (45%), massage therapy (44%), chiropractic treatments (37%), vitamin C (35%), vitamin E (31%), magnesium (29%), vitamin B complex (25%), green tea (24%), and weight-loss programs (20%).” according to Wahner-Roedler, 2007.

This Transformational Shift Module focuses on evidence for the use of nutritional approaches; treatments that shift substance P plasma levels (acupuncture and massage therapy); modalities which affect the autonomic nervous system (Reiki, Integrative Manual Therapy), exercise, acupuncture and more.

Another article highlights the use of manual therapy to improve autonomic nervous system function, which can help a variety of conditions including fibromyalgia…… Wheeler, L. (2004). Advanced Strain Counterstrain. Massage Therapy Journal, 43 Winter(4), [Full Text] http://www.amtamassage.org/journal/winter05_journal/mtjWinter05.html

Rheumatology Int in an article entitled Massage Therapy for Fibromyalgia symptoms, Kalichman, 2010 suggested that massage be painless, its intensity should be increased gradually from session to session, in accordance with patient’s symptoms; and the sessions should be performed at least 1-2 times a week.”

Come learn how to use this information to feel, sleep and function better, today.

Breast Milk, Epigenetics, Quantum Physics, Matrix Energetics and ideas about Nature and Natural Laws

August 8, 2010

www.missionhillspt.com

Ralph Havens

Studying the scientific literature over the years, specifically the health, nutrition, and medical studies one thing becomes clear.  We really don’t know what is going on or why it’s going on.  Some examples come from the world of genetics and epigenetics.  Years ago after the discovery of the DNA helix and genes, scientists proclaimed that DNA was in charge of what our bodies and lives looked like.  The covering of protein around the DNA helix was discarded and thought to have no function!  Now with epigenetics, scientists have found that the protein sleeve plays a huge role in how DNA expresses itself and the lowly cell membrane is actually more important in how DNA expresses itself than the DNA itself.  This field epigenetics is opening our eyes to the potential of how we perceive and interact with our environment and the power we have to control our lives and health through our perceptions and our environment.

Recently in the New York Times I came across a great article of a discovery about Breast Milk and another example of how scientists thought something in nature had no use or value and how now we see it has a huge value.  I printed two paragraphs from the article below:

Breast Milk Sugars Give Infants a Protective Coat  from The New York Times Sunday

By NICHOLAS WADE

Published: August 2, 2010

The complex sugars (in Breast Milk)  were long thought to have no biological significance, even though they constitute up to 21 percent of milk. Besides promoting growth of the bifido strain, they also serve as decoys for noxious bacteria that might attack the infant’s intestines. The sugars are very similar to those found on the surface of human cells, and are constructed in the breast by the same enzymes. Many toxic bacteria and viruses bind to human cells by docking with the surface sugars. But they will bind to the complex sugars in milk instead. “We think mothers have evolved to let this stuff flush through the infant,” Dr. Mills said.

Later in the article:

The proteins in (breast) milk also have special roles. One, called Alpha-lactalbumin, can attack tumor cells and those infected by viruses by restoring their lost ability to commit cell suicide. The protein, which accumulates when an infant is weaned, is also the signal for the breast to remodel itself back to normal state.

Such findings have made the three researchers keenly aware that every component of milk probably has a special role. “It’s all there for a purpose, though we’re still figuring out what that purpose is,” Dr. Mills said. “So for God’s sake, please breast-feed.”

Here’s the link to the story:

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/03/science/03milk.html?src=me&ref=general

My take on this:

Now When I read that a scientist finds “no value” to something found in nature, I see that this scientist is not reading his or her own scientific history.  As scientists and health care practitioner,s we need to be keenly aware that we really don’t know why something is there or  what are all the uses for something.  We need to treat our clients with awe and respect for what their bodies are doing and the innate wisdom of the body and of nature.

This is a reason after studying Physical Therapy and Integrative Manual Therapy, and many other methods for 25 years, I am now using Matrix Energetics as a way to interact with the world, and my clients. With Matrix Energetics we drop into the space of the heart, which quantum physics may have information about and describe as the space called Dark Matter and Dark Energy ( meaning invisible or unseen).   Physicist David Bohm, PhD and others state that in once cubic centimeter of this Dark Matter there is more energy than in the entire Known Universe!

So by having respect for Nature and knowing that we really may not have access to much real knowledge and we may not really know the big picture, I can drop into the space between the spaces; the space between thoughts, the still point and access this Dark Matter, this infinite power and let go of a need to know.  Then by placing intent and letting go, I can see how nature would shift a pattern or a condition for my client.  I can observe with awe and respect Nature and the Universe shift the outcome and the reality for my client.  I can observe the miracle!

I feel this consciousness technology, Matrix Energetics, is the way we can all start to access a deeper knowing and not depend on scientists especially when they tell us that something in nature is not useful or has not purpose.  And instead of using drugs that we see on T.V. that claim to offer help for a condition but then list a laundry list of side effects.  When I see drug ads on T.V. in becomes clear to me that these people making the drugs, promoting them, and using them have no idea what they are doing or what impact they are having.  Nature may have a better idea how to help in these cases. Matrix Energetics can help by accessing the power of the universe, the dark matter, and help bring the power and miracle of nature into the equation.

If you would like to experience or read more about Matrix Energetics or Quantum physics I’ve included some references below.  Please feel free to email me or call us and we can help you get more information.

Description of Matrix Energetics Experience from Germany

April 11, 2010

Matrix Energetics: A note from Andrew, who attended Level 1 & 2 in Hamburg

This is from the Matrix message boards, but it’s so good we’re also posting it here.

Andrew, are you here in our group? I hope so.

I just returned to my home in Switzerland after having attended the Level 1 and 2 seminars in Hamburg, Germany. What an experience!

Day one started off with some pretty loud music and some “interesting” dancing / air guitar from Richard! I guess this is normal for these seminars! about 350 to 400 people on their feet dancing, clapping and just flowing with the music and Richard. Quite a kick-off!

Then the teaching started. Half an hour in I was wondering if I was in the right place (I’m an electronic engineer and a “healthy skeptic”)! But, as I am (from my years of Kung Fu and Chi Kung training), I just relaxed (as best I could) and went with what was going on. We got the 2-point first. When we headed off to practice my left brain was going “what the hell is this all about” and “I have no idea what I should be doing here”.

So there we were in our groups of 3 (or 4). I was supposed to work on someone. “But heck — what do I do?”. So, again, I relaxed and just did what Richard said. “BAM”, the “subject/reciver” fell into the arms of the kind catcher behind.

Left Brain: “What the hell did you just do?”
Left Brain: “I bet you can’t do that again!”
Right Brain: “Shut up, moron!”

So I tried again. Same result.

That, together with the GREAT fun way Richard and Melissa presented the material and the demonstrations, pretty much sums up my experience of day 1.

Back at the hotel in the evening, I was chatting with my wife (on the phone — she was back home in Switzerland). When she asked how it was going (even more skeptical than me), I just kind of said “I’m still not sure if I’m in the right place and I have no idea what is really going in. All I know is that I do (more or less) nothing and see people collapsing all over the place. It’s weird but it’s fun!”

Then came day 2. More loud music and dancing. More left brain saying “Get out of here!”.

Richard and Melissa started to introduce new concepts. We got “time travel”, “parallel universes” and “archetypes”. As Melissa so aptly put in regarding archetypes “Just halucinate out of your freaking skull!”. Great input for my left brain !

But again, I just went with the flow of events. And EVERYTHING seemed to work. My left brain still had NO IDEA what was going on. It was heading into overload, I think. Maybe, after the event, this was exactly what Richard was trying to achieve. Left brain was SO hung with trying to understand and rationalise, it just shut up!

Back at the hotel in the evening, I was again chatting with my wife. When she asked me how I was feeling about this now, I just replied “I have no idea!”. She was a little surprised at the anwser — but it was an honest one. My left brain just could not grasp what was going on nor why things were happening. Jees — day 3 (level 2) was about to hit me too.

OK. So now it’s day 3. My left brain is already completely overloaded. “Brain Fry”, if you like!

We got frequencies, windows and in the last part, modules.

Darn —– it all seemed to work. “What the heck is this all about?” says Mr. left brain!

It was quite an intensive day and I had to literally rush from the seminar (which was going to overrun a little) before it ended to catch my flight back home.

I spent the late evening (got home around 11pm) talking to my wife about how I still had no idea what was happening — but it seemed to work.

This morning (Easter Monday), my son told me he had some back issue from a snowboarding accident during the weekend. So I thought I’d just try out what I had “learned” during the weekend. I had no expectation. In fact, if I had any expectations, they were that it wouldn’t work. How wrong could I be?

My son had some clear shift in his upper spine which meant the left shoulder was about 2 inches higher than the right one. So, I took out my “toolbox” and “decided” on a simple 2-point. He rocked/swayed a little (to my utter delight). I then re-checked his shoulders ……… STRAIGHT and LEVEL! My wife was there (much bigger skeptic than me) and was “kind of surprised”. “This is fun” I thought. It felt right to carry on and I found a load of other stuff. Every time, I just followed the instructions Richard had given and used whatever came up for me — with instantaneous results! AMAZING!

So my wife is getting curious by now. I start to show her what I’m doing —- and she almost collapses on the floor. This is NOT what my wife usually does, I should add! I didn’t feel like I was done, so I carried on playing. Whatever came up (and some of it felt STUPID), I just went with it (as taught). And it just kept on working. My wife and I were laughing so hard. NOTHING works on her! But this seems to.

Now I’m going to work on (and practice with) my wife for the coming days/weeks to see what comes up and what we can change (particularly in her health). I have a good feeling right now — even though (or maybe precisely because) my left brain has no darn idea what is going on.

Final post for now (promise ). I don’t know if Richard and/or Melissa read this board, but in any case I would just like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to both Richard and Melissa for this past weekend. I have a feeling the changes are just beginning.

Finally — if anyone out there is wondering whether or not this event is worth participating in. My opinion, as a skeptic, GO FOR IT. Let yourself be blown away by the fun and enthusiasm. Worst comes to the worst, it’s fun to watch people collapsing and listening to Richard’s infectious sense of fun and enjoyment.

Andrew

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-mark-hyman/gluten-what-you-dont-know_b_379089.html

This is a very well documented and referenced article by Dr. Mark Hyman on gluten sensitivity and how it can masquerade as a number of ailments and diseases; over 55 diseases recognized by the American Medical Association as having links to gluten sensitivity.  If you or anyone you know has any of these conditions please pass it along to them;  You could save their life.  Gluten sensitivity has been linked to a 30+% increase in death in the medical literature.

Here’s a partial list of conditions caused by gluten sensitivity:

osteoporosis, irritable bowel disease, inflammatory bowel disease, anemia, cancerfatigue, canker sores, (v) and rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, and almost all other autoimmune diseases. Gluten is also linked to many psychiatric (vi) and neurological diseases, including anxietydepression, (vii) schizophrenia, (viiidementia, (ix)migraines, epilepsy, and neuropathy (nerve damage). (x) It has also been linked to autism.(ix)

Matrix Energetics – The Science and Art of Transformation – Kim Burnham, PhD, IMTC, Certified Matrix Energetics Practioner

December 15, 2009

Kim Burnham, MT, PhD Bio at Mission Hills PT

Certified Matrix Energetics Practitioner

January 5th – 15th, 2010  at Mission Hills Physical Therapy – San Diego, CA

Kimberly Burnham, MT, PhD

In 2006, Kimberly Burnham added a PhD in Integrative Medicine to her 15 year as a
manual therapy practitioner. This added to the richness and breadth of her experience and
specialization in working with people dealing with neurological and visual disorders. Her
dissertation topic was “The Effect of Integrative Manual Therapy on the Symptom’s of
Parkinson’s disease.  ”
Kim is certified in Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT). Her 10 plus years at the Center for
Integrative Manual Therapy and Diagnostics (CenterIMT) were spent treating clients at the
headquarters in Bloomfield, CT and as the clinical manager in Boulder, CO. Her job titles
included, instructor for the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy; Director of
Knowledge Management, Director of Neurodegenerative Disorders, and Director of Vision IMT.
A licensed Massage Therapist, Kim graduated from Sutherland-Chan (Toronto,1993)
where she later taught clinical courses. She also studied cranial work focused on holistic healing, headaches, back pain, fatigue, neurological conditions, cranial circulation and more through the
Upledger Institute, The Milne Institute, Canadian College of Osteopathy and had a private
practice in Toronto for 5 years before joining the staff at CenterIMT.
The thing Kim loved most about working for CenterIMT was the opportunity to see
positive changes in clients with a dismal medical forecast. She has had the good fortune to see
so many positive changes, changes that many would consider miraculous or impossible. That
experience has really ignited her ability to see that anything is possible.
At CenterIMT, Kim enjoyed traveling and broadening her global perspective on health.
She consulted with clients in Hong Kong, Israel and Italy, as well as treating people from all
over the world in Bloomfield, CT. One highlight was speaking at the “Defeat Autism Now” 2007
conference in Verona, Italy. In 2008, she spoke about “Using Complementary and Alternative
Medicine for Alzheimer’s Disease” at the Connecticut Alzheimer’s Association annual meeting.  To her clinical practice, Kim brings expertise as a Certified Hypno-therapist and Certified
Matrix Energetics Practitioner. These tools allow her to interact with the client holistically,
focus on shifts and help clients see significant improvements in symptoms. She has a strong
grasp on reference material, research and morphic fields, which she taps into during treatment sessions.
Familiar with a wide range of nutritional therapies, Kim is a nutritional specialist (2006)
and studied homotoxicology (2004) with Heel and phyto-therapy (2009) with Kerry Bones  .
A proficient writer with the ability to clearly explain health concerns and hands-on
approaches, Kim is the editor of The Burnham Review, a twice monthly e-newsletter reviewing
the medical and scientific evidence supporting the use and benefits of manual therapy, energy
medicine and other forms of complementary and alternative medicine  .
Referring to the first time working with an individual, Kim says, “I believe, what we
expect and observe, influences what we get. People in my practice can expect my full attention
as well as positive changes and progress with their goals. It is best to come to the first session
having thought about your goals. If anything, truly anything, can shift about your health, you r
life, your relationships, your way of being in the world, what do you want? What does “better”
look and feel like for you.”
